Sean heads up all things ‘Money Carer’ after launching the award-winning foundation in 2009. The philosophy of innovating for Money Carer’s own clients and then sharing these innovations with other organisations and family members who support vulnerable folk is a central part of Sean’s work ethic.

Mike Shepherd

Mike started his career in software development in 1997. He is a joint founder of QFS, and spent 7 years with Data Sciences (now IBM) before joining Lloyds Bank to assist in developing their commercial platform spanning 25 years. Mike joined Money Carer in 2018.

Banking & Payments

Shaun has a rich history of banking software development and implementing security systems. Shaun spent 30 years at Lloyds Bank to develop its corporate banking service and spent time at IBM as well along with other household name financial institutions. Shaun Co-founded QFS in 1999 and joined Money Carer in 2018.

Stephen Worthington

Until 2000 Stephen was a developer with Lincoln Software and Critical Path until he joined  Quality Financial Software working in the banking services team until 2016. Stephen joined Waters the international developer of critical decision making software as as a senior developer and joined Money carer in 2021.

Lorna Reed

Head of Banking & Payments Team

Lorna is has been part of the Money Carer family since 2016 and has always been a pillar of the organisations payment processing function. Lorna heads up a team of 6 and is the everyday link with our support team at Cashplus Bank.

Virag Kis

Senior Business Development Manager

Before joining Money Carer in June 2023, Virag spent 6 years with Cashplus Bank developing their bulk payment processing services within the payroll and direct payments sector. Virags wealth of experience and relationship with our banking partner is a great asset.

Banking Services Executive

Kerry is a very well known with our solicitor and local authority partners as she is a main point of contact for all things banking and payments related. Reporting to Lorna, Kerry has a fantastic ‘can do’ approach to supporting our clients and partners and is often the recipient of ‘thank you’ messages from partners and colleagues.

John O'Sullivan

Communications Manager

John is a natural communicator and the founder of CD & P Media Ltd. John has extensive experience in online, video and printed media and works part-time at Money Carer to coordinate the smooth onboarding of new partnerships and the development of the companies communications across all channels.

Amanda Sikhosa

Payments Team Support Administrator

Primarily to support the wider banking & payments team, Amanda also works closely with Lorna to perform confirmation of payee validation checks with new accounts to be credited. Amanda joined the Money Carer team in February 2023.

Jason’s main focus is to support the wider payments team with administrative tasks and other daily functions that bolster the services that we provide to professional partners. Jason joined Money Carer in 2021

Payments Team Support Administrator

Sphesihle works closely with Kerry to support her with the bulk payment processing function and to assist with the processing of emergency payments via our CashbyText or PayPoint service. Sphe joined the banking & payments team in February 2023.

NompiloMabaso

Nompilo Mabaso

Payments Team Support Administrator

Nompilo provides administrative support for the banking and payments function and works closely with Lorna to assist her with ad hoc tasks throughout the working day. Nompilo joined Money Carer in February 2023.

Upcoming innovations

Our current involvement in the development of suitable biometric identification and payment technologies is one example of how we are using our foresight and expertise to bring forward more secure ways of protecting clients and carers from online fraud and financial abuse. Whilst the driving force behind our innovations is to better serve our own clients and their care circle, the benefits of our innovations will be made available to partners via our Monika platform.
